What is Tang Soo Do?

Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial art that teaches mental and physical discipline. It develops coordination, dynamic movements, strength, full-body endurance, flexibility and the ability to perform complex body movements. Training includes stances, forms (Hyungs), breathing exercises, self-defense, and sparring.

What age can you start training?

Tang Soo Do is suitable for children from 6 years old, as well as adults of any age. Training sessions are held together - both children and adults can train side by side as a family activity.

How much do classes cost?

The first class is free! Tang Soo Do is not profit-oriented, so training fees are relatively low. Additionally, you only pay for classes you actually attend - there's no charge for missed sessions.

What should I bring to the first class?

For your first class, comfortable athletic clothing that allows free movement is sufficient. Later you can purchase the official Tang Soo Do uniform (Do Balk).

Can I earn belts?

Yes! By becoming an associate member of the Federation, you can qualify for exams and earn belts. The belt system reflects the practitioner's progress and skill level.

Is Tang Soo Do suitable for women?

Yes, Tang Soo Do is suitable for both women and men. The martial art provides excellent physical fitness, self-defense skills and promotes self-confidence.
